London

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Just a quick note to say am in London next week, from 2pm Weds 27th to midday Friday 29th. As usual I haven’t decided which hotel I’ll be in yet (see earlier posts about my loathingĀ  of London hotels!) but it will be sorted shortly. In any case it will be central and close to a tube station.

Snow snow and more snow…

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

I love snow as a rule and it rarely snows in Liverpool, so I was happy to see it come down for several hours last week. How wrong I was! Like everyone else I’ve hardly been out because the roads and pavements are treacherous. Looks like we’ll be getting more snow tomorrow or Monday but maybe not as much as the South East, so I’ve decided to stay put and postpone my tour to London. I know Central London will be ok, but if travel to and from London is disrupted it could be hellish, so it makes sense to wait a week or two… Sorry to those who were expecting to see me, but I’ll be down soon.

Happy New Year!

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

I hope you had a good Xmas and New Year! I had a good break but am back in the saddle now and raring to go (as it were)!
I had an early booking at my incall flat this morning, or at least it felt early when I was getting out of bed this morning at 8.30! Easy to get into a bad routine of very late nights and late mornings at this time of year. I was playing cribbage till the early hours last night. Great game and am well and truly hooked!
Over the weekend I’ll be planning my tours for the beginning of 2010. I won’t be touring quite so much now that I’ve got a flat to work from in Liverpool, so it will probably just be London with the odd foray across the irish sea to Dublin and maybe a trip to Birmingham. I do enjoy travelling around, but it can be hard to fit in with my domestic responsibilities and requests to go abroad, which I get from time to time.
Anyway, I hope this year will be a distinct improvement on last year, which really couldn’t have been much worse on a personal level. A return to form for Liverpool wouldn’t go amiss either, though am hoping we’ve turned a corner now. C’mon you mighty Reds! :)
